Q. What is a Bareboat Charter and how does it work?

A bareboat charter is where you hire and sail the yacht yourself with no crew. This is an unbeatable way to escape and really get away from it all. It is also an incredible way to explore a new country allowing you to explore beaches and coves many visitors wouldn't even know existed!
Greece is a famous destination for sailing holidays. The Greek authorities demand for formal qualifications in order for you to charter a sailing yacht. The International Certificate of Competence (ICC) or RYA Day Skipper is a minimum requirement. We strongly advise that the Skipper and First Mate should be qualified to this level, to avoid reducing your choice of destination.

Is you are Novice Sailor we strongly advise the Ionian Islands complex and the Dodekanisa during July and August. For all other summer months except late July and August , the Cyclades Islands at the Aegean Archipelagi is the ideal sailing holidays area for you.
